People are often concerned about findng ‘the right’ coach. There is no such thing a ‘the right’ coach as such, just the right one for you at a particular time in your life. It can be useful to hear what other people have used a coach for and how they found both the process of coaching and the style of the coach themselves.

What challenge were you looking to address?
“I was looking for a coach that could understand my current situation, and help define goals and objectives to move forward in both my personal and professional life - plus challenge me and hold me accountable where appropriate to support my progress.
“I approached Michelle because it is very clear she has a wealth of career and coaching knowledge and is a great listener and really easy to get on with, and rapport is extremely important with a coach - and Michelle is very easy to get along with, which is great.
What did you like or find useful about my approach?
“What I liked was……it was a really "balanced and grounded" view built on knowledge, experience and understanding - I felt very comfortable being open venerable with my goals in order to learn and grow.
“What really helped was….. the external view of the situation and wealth of experience - sometimes it takes someone else's questioning and experienced guidance of a situation to help bring clarity to achieve goals. The follow-up emails and exercises between sessions were also extremely powerful and in helping achieve my goals.
What kind of person would benefit from working with me?
“I would recommend you contact Michelle if you are at a crossroads in your personal or professional life (the two are quite heavily linked these days) and would like an accountability partner to enable you to achieve clarity in goals and objectives, and facilitate achieving them. I would recommend Michelle as an excellent coach to anyone😀”

What challenge were you looking to address?
I booked my first coaching session with Michelle because after a couple of years as a freelancer I felt like I was being quite reactive with my business, especially financially. I wanted to take a more strategic approach and get support with longer-term planning from someone I trusted. It was so helpful that I've used her as my business coach with quarterly sessions over the last five years.
What did you like or find useful about my approach?
I love how Michelle looks at not just the business but also how it fits into my life and overall goals. She's not afraid to ask challenging questions (but in a way that feels supportive) and has brought so much clarity and different perspectives to my work.
What kind of person would benefit from working with me?
I'd recommend Michelle to anyone who is feeling stuck or overwhelmed with their business, or who wants to set some more tangible goals but doesn't know where to start. She more than pays for herself in terms of the impact she's had not just on my finances but my wellbeing too. Every freelancer should have a Michelle!
